...this picture was very dark, and I tried very, very hard to lighten it up so you could see the moustache Mr. Shaw wore at the time... it was quite thick and hung down well below his top lip... he also wore spectacles... he married Mary Katherine McLeod ...they were married March 16, 1895 in Sutherland Springs, Texas... I really love this picture... but I have always loved pictures taken in this manner, i.e. gazing at a child... I wish it had turned out better as the picture is just beautiful...
