Jack (John Jerry) Janssen was married to Mary Alma Fee. They had 2 children, Sheila and John. They lived in Nevada. Then my grandpa Jack and his second wife, Yvonne, moved to Colorado. Jack has 2 great-grandchildren, Sabrina (myself) and Damien, and 3 ggg-grandchildren, Jaiden, Elijah, and Sophia. We still own the property in Nevada and we call it the "Nevada Homestead". My grandpa Jack was known for his cowboy boots, so much so, that he was cremated with them!

Grandma Mary, Grandpa Jack, and their son, John (9/29/?-2015), were all cremated and then dispersed in the Truckee River together by Sheila and Sheri in 2015-16. The property purchased in Lemmon Valley, Nevada by Jack and Mary has been kept in the family. First, by their son, John until his passing in 2015 and then, by my brother, Damien, who moved from Colorado to the "Nevada Homestead" as we call it in 2017, where he meets Victoria. Sheila moved back to Nevada in 2015, where she purchased land in Silver Springs with my Papa, Roger. Sheri moved out to the Silver Springs property in Nevada the following year. My Godmother and Sheila's Aunt Evelyn Jean Kirkham (nee. My Grandpa Ziggy (Thomas Nicholas) married again, to Sandra Turner, and died in Surprise, AZ. I have yet to be able to obtain any genetic lineage on my Grandma Marlene June. Grandma June and her siblings were all adopted out from my understanding, reasons unbeknownst to me. Later in life, she reconnected with her sister, Dorothy Miller (b.3/24/?) of San Lorenzo, CA, and their brother, John McCallum (b.3/31/1944). She never remarried after divorcing Thomas N., as she was too busy raising and supporting 6 kids. She relocated to Fontana, WI, living with her son, Robert "Bobby" and family, wife Susan, who shares a birthday with Grandma June, their daughter Amber and son, William.

I'm a Founder of AncientFaces and support the community answering questions & helping members make connections to the past (thus my official title of Founder & Content and Community Support ). For me, it's been a labor of love for over 20 years. I truly believe with all of my heart that everyone should be remembered for generations to come. I am 2nd generation San Jose and have seen a lot of changes in the area while growing up. We used to be known as the "Valley of Heart's Delight" (because the Valley was covered with orchards and there were many canneries to process the food grown here, which shipped all over the US) - now we have adopted the nickname "Capital of Silicon Valley" and Apple, Ebay, Adobe, Netflix, Facebook, and many more tech companies are within a few miles of my current home in San Jose (including AncientFaces). From a small town of 25,000, we have grown to 1 million plus. And when you add in all of the communities surrounding us (for instance, Saratoga, where I attended high school, living a block from our previous Mayor), we are truly one of the big cities in the US. I am so very proud of my hometown. For more information see Kathy - Founder & Content and Community Director
My family began AncientFaces because we believe that unique photos and stories that show who people are/were should be shared with the world.
