James Cornelius Stowe

James Cornelius Stowe of Madison Heights, Amherst County, VA was born on February 20, 1916 in Dry Fork, Pittsylvania County to William Thomas Stowe and Bertha Mae (Wallace) Stowe. He had siblings William Herman Stowe Sr., Julia Elizabeth Stowe Wilkes, Jeremiah Ramsey Stowe, Ruby Wallace (Stowe) Guill, Joel Octavis Stowe, Urannia Beatrice (Stowe) Pendleton, Caleb Nathaniel Stowe, and Ollie Mae (Stowe) Coleman Brooks. He married Ruth Gaynelle (Dixon) Stowe on November 21, 1936 in Lynchburg, and they were married until Ruth's death on December 27, 1987 in Madison Heights, Amherst County. He had children Anna Rosemary Stowe, Bertha Sue (Stowe) Rosser, Donna Kay (Stowe) Campbell Reynolds, and Brenda Charlene (Wallace) Dye Snow Carmichael. James Stowe died at age 80 years old on April 8, 1996 in Madison Heights, Amherst County, and was buried on April 11, 1996 at Amherst Cemetery 105 Grandview Dr, in Amherst.
