Kuchta, Joan R. age 85, of Waterford, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on March 16, 2020. Joan was born in Chicago, IL on July 31, 1934 to Earl and Gertrude (nee. Moran) Farnum. Joan received her degree in nursing from St. Anne’s School of Nursing in Chicago and became a registered nurse. She met the love of her life, Ronald J. Kuchta were married on July 7, 1956 in Chicago. Joan was very proud of her Irish Heritage, had an extensive collection of Waterford Crystal, Belleek Dishes, along with Murano Glass and Hummel’s. She loved to read and travel, especially to St. Augustine, FL and after many years of visiting purchased a condo there. Joan loved Walt Disney World and visited quite frequently, as she did with all the theme parks. Joan had numerous stories of her travels and loved to share them with everyone. She was a treasure and will be greatly missed.
Joan is survived by her six loving children, Laurie (Bill) Harames, Steve (Sue) Kuchta, Craig (Lori) Kuchta, Karen Kuchta, Linda Stewart, Pam (Scot) Smith; eight grandchildren, Andrew, Nathan, Mark, April, Ashley, Tyler, Miranda, and Ryan; six great-grandchildren, Roger, Angela, Kemper, Evelyn, Finley, Asher and one sister, Patricia Hogan.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronald, son Ronnie, two brothers, James and Billy.
