Joe Tolli is the son of Mary Dgiovanni and Secrafin Tolli. He was born on July 14, 1920 in West Virginia. He had older siblings Albert and Annette, and younger siblings Demaris, Toney, Ruth, Frankie, and Johnie. As a teenager, he and his family were living in Morgantown, West Virginia. At age 21, Joe married Hilda Spivey (age 18) in Lee North Carolina on June 28, 1941. The next year, Joe enlisted into the United States Army on June 26, 1942 in Ft Thomas Newport Kentucky and was discharged on October 19, 1945. He was a veteran of World War II. On December 6, 1997 Joe Tolli passed away at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Sumner County, Tennessee, 37066, United States.
