A photo of John David Hargis. Front of a postcard --- Sent to his sister Hattie (Harriet) Hargis in Littleton, Colorado. From John in Hargisville, Elbert County, Colorado.
John was the son of Zachariah John Beckham Hargis and Mary Ette Mackey. He was born November 4, 1885 (Missouri) and died April 10, 1910 (Colorado) buried in the Littleton Cemetery. I do not think he married, but I am not positive. (the date added is the postal date so the actual date of the photo is when it was taken and how ever long it took to process as a postcard then for John to give it to his brother Paris Hargis who was the postmaster at Hargisville).
John David Hargis was born on November 4, 1885 to Zachariah John Beckham Hargis and Maryett (Mackey) Hargis, and had siblings George Winton Hargis, Zachariah Thomas Mackey Hargis, Nancy Jane (Hargis) Haight, Harriet "Hattie" Hargis, Rosa "Rosie" Hargis, Mahala Ette Hargis, Paris Hargis, Ida May Hargis, Gilbert B. Hargis, and Fred "Fritz" Hargis. John Hargis died at age 24 years old in April 1910. Family, friend, or fan, this family history biography is for you to remember John David Hargis.
