John J. Silveira Sr.

This is a picture of my great grandfather John J. Silveira. He was born in Calheta, Pico, Azores and came to this country. He worked as a Captain on a fishing schooner out of GLoucester. He married Maria Refina Muniz Soares and had my grandfather Albert J. Silveira (married a Mary J. Silveira from Pico) John J. Silveira Jr. (married a Rozalinda Severino from Pico) and Leonora Silveira who married a Goodick. There was also a female baby that died but not too much is known about her.
