John R. burnett has just downed an Aichi D3A dive bomber but he about to fall victim to a zero approaching from his 5 o'clock. One of seven wildcats pilots shot down or forced down that afternoon, Burnett bailed overt Sealark Channel. All seven Marine pilots survived. Craig Kodera (oil on Canvas ,2011)

I was born September 25 1970 in Malone New York and resided in Chateaugay New York. I have served in the Navy for twelve years on the USS Saratoga and USS Enterprise then rest my time in the Naval Construction Bataillon 1,7,74 in Gulfport Mississippi.
Father was Hosea Roderick Burnette and Therese Poupore and two sister who are older then me. My father was born October 21 1933 in Glen Dean Kentucky. My mother was born July 16 1938 in Clinton County New York.
