Well, this was taken in St Andrews in 1895/96. John Wilson Moir is in the middle and he died in 1926, aged 83. So I think maybe 1910/15. Just a guess from other photos I have of him.

It looks like 1910-1918 era based upon their appearance. Those pencil skirts with the suit jacket was WW1 era fashion for older ladies. The gent's hat also looks like something of that time.

The Richland County Museum has a water pitcher awarded for second prize in a tricycle race held in Mansfield in 1895, but the clothes appear about 1910ish.
Bicyclists were classy in that era, a modern way. Certainly earning respect considering their rigid dress codes.

I was going to guess based on the clothing & advanced development of the tricycles to be in the late 19's to early 20's of the last century. Fairly close, but earlier than I thought!

yes I would've said late 1800s early 1900s... wow. people really did take such care with their appearance but it must have been so uncomfortable for them... women in stays and men with starched colours .....................etc... love these old photos.

I live this pic must have been very cool weather outside to wear heavy clothing the bicycles are three wheelers wonder we're they 27 inches ? These two people must have been wealthy to afford these bicycles :)
