Eileen Foley Obituary
Eileen Rita Foley (nee Keaney), 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at her residence in Texas. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Ridgedale Avenue, Cedar Knolls, N.J., at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover, N.J. Visiting will be on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, N.J. Born in Portland, Maine, to Thomas and Catherine (Brogan) Keaney, Eileen worked for Loren, Short and Harmon Company in Portland as a secretary until meeting her husband, Joseph, who was stationed in Portland during World War II, and they married. She moved to Whippany, N.J., where she lived for almost 70 years until moving to Houston, Texas, in 2011. After raising her six children, she worked for Burrelle's Clipping Press, Livingston, N.J., and Bamberger's/Macy's, Morristown, N.J. She was a member of Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Church in Cedar Knolls, N.J. and the Hanover Township Senior Citizens. She loved attending aerobics/jazzercize classes, playing golf and going to the Papermill Playhouse every month. She was also a longtime member of the Hanover Township Women's Bowling League. Eileen was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Joseph Cornelius Foley, and sisters, Mary Keaney Welsh DePaulo, Margaret Keaney and Catherine Keaney. She is survived by her loving sister, Gertrude Keaney Foley, Portland, Maine; six children, Rita Marie Foley (Jill Kelleher) of Vermont; Marilyn (William) Caruso of Texas; Eileen (David) Rough, Long Valley, N.J.; Thomas (Mary Ann) Foley of St. Louis, Mo.; Joanne F. Morris (Joseph Sanchelli), Whippany, N.J., and Cynthia (Kenneth) Harper of Chicago, Ill.; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was loved dearly by everyone. Her bright blue eyes, happy smile and contagious laugh will be missed by all.

Joseph Cornelius Foley of Toms River, Ocean County, NJ was born on March 31, 1921 in Newark, Essex County, and died at age 80 years old on April 6, 2001 in Toms River, Ocean County. Joseph Foley was buried at Gate of Heaven Cemetery & Mausoleum 225 Ridgedale Ave, in East Hanover, Morris County.
