June Alsbury

In memory of June Alsbury (Taylor) Born in Smithers, B.C. Canada on 26-June-1930 . June's parents Frank Henry P. Taylor & Gertrude (Reno) Taylor. June's parents owned and operated Topley Richfield mine in the Granisle region of British Columbia. The Taylor's Gold & Silver placer mine change hands due to June's father's early death in 1930. June married Thomas Bruce Alsbury on 27-August-1952 in Vancouver BC. The couple raised 4 children. Initially lived in the Fraser Valley region until her husband accepted an administrative position in January 1983 in the remote community of Port Hardy BC on the North end of Vancouver Island. The couple spent the majority of their leisure time sailing their 30ft C&C sailboat. In 1986 the couple returned to the Fraser Valley. June and her husband celebrated 62 years of marriage before her husband passed away 29-Jan-2015, June passed away the next year on the anniversary of her husband's memorial.
