Russia (Ukraine) to Jakob Hertel and Rosina (Kraenzler) Hertel, and had siblings Johann Hertel, Friedrich Hertel, Rosina (Hertel) Baier, Jacob (Hertel) Hirtel, Christian Hertel, Karl (Hertel) Harttel, and Christine Hertel. She married Johann "John" Rall, and had a child Katharine (Rall) Netz. Katharina Hertel died at age 75 years old on August 24, 1945 in Wingham, near Calgary County, Alberta Canada.
