Lafayette J. Milroy was born on April 24, 1860 in Dutchess County, New York United States to Robert Milroy and Mary (Carmichael) Milroy, and had siblings William C. Milroy, Alexander Milroy, Jane (Milroy) Bowman, Jessie Watt Milroy, James C. Milroy, and John Cornelius Milroy. He married Anne Gainey. He also married Susan A. Garvey, and they had children Helen Mary (Milroy) Lynch, William Daniel Milroy, Catherine Louella (Milroy) Murphy, Charles Leo Milroy, and Genevieve C. Milroy. Lafayette Milroy died at age 91 years old on June 25, 1951 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, and was buried at Saint Joseph's Cemetery in Rhinebeck. I love antique photographs. In addition to sharing old photos of my family, I am also going through my collection of "antique store people". They've been sitting in a storage tub in my back room much too long and maybe some of their families will be able to find them here. If I'm able to identify the people in the photo, I upload it not only to AncientFaces, but also to Ancestry, FamilySearch, and Find-A-Grave. If the person in the picture is a military veteran, the photo also goes on Fold3. I figure that the more places I upload these pictures, the greater the chance that a relative will be able to find them.
