Shaffer. He was in a relationship with Virgie Mae (Trader) Shaffer, and had children Helen Cecilia (Shaffer) Bulmer, Paul Emerson Shaffer, Willard Lawrence Shaffer, Francis Edward Shaffer, Constance Eugenia (Farmer) Hall, and Patrick Farmer. Lawrence Shaffer died at age 30 years old on October 29, 1918 in Plymouth, Putnam County, and was buried at Schowen Cemetery in Bancroft.
