He was the son of Alvin Theodore Minehart and Lucy Lovina Shoemaker of Boulder Twp, Linn Co, IA. Leo is buried in Cedar Memorial Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Linn Co, IA along with his wife Irene Matilda (Greer) and son Berl Herschel Minehart.
