Linus Kling
I’ve “rescued” an old photograph of Linus KLING which was taken at the Rockstead Studio in Rockford, IL sometime in the 1880’s. Linus appears to be in his teens at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Linus and his family:
Linus Warner KLING was b. 14 Sept 1872 to parents Johan August KLING (1842-1874) and Amalia Carolina LEIJON (1847-1932). Linus was one of 4 children born to this couple including, Ebba Theresia KLING (1871-1943) and twins who died in infancy the same year their father died, August Emanuel KLING and Johan Gabriel KLING. Linus married Lena E. LORD (1878-1960) and records indicate that he traveled to both Denmark and France between 1913 and 1926. Linus died in 1958 and is buried in the Scandinavian Cemetery in Rockford, IL.
