Gertrude Presley Marzolf
I have an old studio photograph of Gertrude PRESLEY which was taken at the Swem Studio in St. Paul, MN and dated Xmas 1897. Gertrude appears to be in her teens or 20's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Gertrude and her family:
Gertrude PRESLEY was b. May 1875 in Minnesota to parents George PRESLEY (1835-1918) and Catherine FOSTER (1846-1926) who were married 25 Sept 1867 in Minneapolis, MN. Gertrude was one of three children born to this couple including Gertrude; Gretchen; and Edward Stephen PRESLEY, all born between 1875 and 1880. Gertrude married James MARZOLF (1866-1942) on 29 Sept 1904 in St. Paul, MN and they had a son, James Foster MARZOLF (1912-1978).
I’d like to get the photograph back to family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.
Thanks,
Shelley

The three are children of John James STEVENSON (1842-1903 or 1904) and Rebina or Robina E. LONGWILL (1850-1919). The couple had four children including James W.; Albert Thomas; Edwin John “Ted”; and Edith R. STEVENSON, all born between 1872 and 1882.
