He had siblings Wanda Fae (Carter) Stolzenburg, Lorene Mona (Carter) Wilkerson Adams, and Wayne Ray Carter. Lorenzo Carter died at age 76 years old on October 22, 2005 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, and was buried at Ashes scattered, American Basin in Hinsdale County, CO.
