Margaret Gertrude Connellan
Published in the Portland Press Herald on September 11, 1951. Miss Margaret G. Connellan, a lifelong resident of Portland, died in her home at 85 State Street Monday after a long illness. She was born here, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael C. Connellan and was a graduate of St. Elizabeth's Academy. For many years she was secretary to the attorney for the Canadian National Railways. She leaves three sisters, the Misses Anne and Eleanor Connell van and Mrs. Francis McGraw, all of Portland; a brother, James Connellan, Rockland postmaster, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning with a High Mass of Requiem in St. Dominic's Church at 9 AM.
