Bethel, would love to see if your Barkers are my Barkers. Had them in Shawneetown and other counties nearby. Mine came to IL from ME by way of KY ca 1818. They came with Thompson family. All the names you have mentioned and others, Tate, Carr, Phillips, Potter, etc were in their line in early 1800's. Moved around IL to several counties after 1830. PUTNAM, FULTON, MARION, CLAY, and JACKSON counties from 2nd generation. First Barker I remember was named Abel.
