Melvin Lloyd Bremer Jr. was born on December 23, 1936 in Abbotsford, Wisconsin United States to Melvin Lloyd Bremer and Leila Belle Bremer, and had siblings Ronald Melvin Bremer, Mae Belle Ridderbush, and Avis A. Lebiecki. He married Karolynn Jean Zumbrunnen on June 11, 1960 in Pine County, Minnesota and they later divorced. They had children Danny Lee Zinski, Jodi Lynn Bauer, Don Jarvis, and Sherri Ann Jarvis. He was the parent of Mark Bremer, and John Bremer.
