Myrtle S (Sorber) Hontz of 25 Chestnut St, in Shickshinny, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania United States was born on December 28, 1891 at Pierce Hill in Plymouth to Anna Marie (Seddon) Sorber and Reuben A Sorber. She married Walter Allen Hontz on June 21, 1916 in Plymouth, Luzerne County, and they were married until Myrtle's death on February 19, 1970. She had children Homer C Hontz and Betty Elizabeth (Hontz) Moore. Myrtle Hontz was buried at Slocum Cemetery in Luzerne County.

Walter Allen Hontz
Walter was the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Remensnyder) Hontz and had brothers Lloyd, Chester, George, Ira, Arthur, and Claude. He married Myrtle Sorber on June 21, 1916 when he was 24 years old. Walter worked in the coal mines of Mocanaqua as an electrician and lived in Shickshinny. Walter and Myrtle had three children, Lorraine, Betty, and Homer.
