Napier or Shepherd Family
Napier or Shepherd young man and older man with long hands!

This photo was one my Grandmother, Montana Gardner, showed me as a teen. I was shocked -- all I could see were the older man's hands. They are like my hands, my father, Alex's hands, and my Grandmother's hands. So I know he is a relative (an uncle?). My Grandmother called them "Gambling Hands". It seems gambling runs through our family. I would love to know who these gents are!

The picture is likely from the 1920's or possibly earlier.

Who are these fellas?
Date & Place: at Appalachia in Virginia USA

I have dabbled in genealogy off and on throughout my life. I love to hear people's stories!
I am researching my family in addition to Gertrude Porter Moessmer's family, as she is my family's benefactress.
