Noah Schexnider was considered the best maker of duck calls in South Louisiana in the 1940s and 1950s. According to Louisiana Conservation Magazine, Noah won the duck calling competition in 1950. He was also in demand as a duck hunting guide and later came into renown as a maker of excellent shrimp trawls.
