Norris family in Australia

This is the only surviving Photo of Jeremiah Norris, born 1810 in Nova Scotia Canada. He migrated to Australia in 1850 to the Bendigo gold fields where he was very successful operating the Caledonia Gold mine. He and his sons in later years also owned Hotels in the district. In marriage records from Rothesay in Scotland his father John Norris was shown as residing in Newton Hamilton Pennsylvania America.
