Opal L Dargan

Mrs. Dargan was my 7th grade teacher at Marion Anderson Junior High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She told us the story about her and her family hiding under the front porch of their home during the Tulsa Race Riot. She said she was either four or five years old at that time. I remember one of the Tulsa TV stations, I believe KTUL Channel 8, doing a story on the race riot with Mrs. Dargan talking in a documentary style.
