Peter Hollingshead Allabach
Civil War Union Army Officer. He served as a Colonel in the 131st Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment, which was a nine-month regiment, being mustered in as it's commander on August 18, 1862. The regiment saw service at Antietam, Maryland (where it was not engaged) and fought at Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Chancellorsville, Virginia. He commanded the 2nd Brigade, 3rd Division, V Corps, Army of the Potomac at all three battles, leading it from September 12, 1862 to February 15, 1863, and from March 7, 1863 to May 23, 1863. On May 23, 1863, he was mustered out at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. From 1890 to 1891 he was listed as a captain on the United States Capitol Police Force, Washington, D. C. He served in this post until his death.
