Prohibition Era Still
Prohibition era still (apparatus used for making liquor) with two men standing by it. One of the men is holding a bottle of "hooch". It looks like they are at the side of a house - I don't know if they are "revenuers" (agents) or they are making the alcohol. They aren't identified so they may be making it!
My grandmother told me stories about literally making "bathtub gin" while she was pregnant with my mother during Prohibition. She said that she would feel nauseous, sitting on the side of the tub, stirring the mixture. And they were middle class suburbanites!
