Johannes Texelius of Rotterdam, Nederlands, Incorrectly identified as one of our ancestors in New Netherland but the genealogy of his family does not include anyone who came to North America in the early 1600s. Born in Schoonrewoerd 1637. Doctor of Theology, Professor of Greek linguistics. Minister at St. Laurens Church, DRF. Painting by Pieter van der Werf.
