Richard J. LaShomb

Richard J. LaShomb, 67, of 18 Cecil Avenue, peacefully passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Claxton Hepburn Medical Center. Richard was born May 6, 1949 in Massena, son of Rita Yaddow Davis and the late Wallace LaShomb. After graduating High School, he went to meat cutting school in Utica and Auctioneering School in St. Louis, MO. He worked for several years as a meat cutter for Winn-Dixie in Florida. He was a member of the Senior Citizens of Massena, and loved playing guitar. He enjoyed charity auctioneering many years ago, and dressing up as Santa Claus to bring joy and cheer to many. He also followed astronomy and Horoscopes, and Tarot card reading. Richard is survived by his son Kevin and Susan LaShomb of Williamstown, VT; four grandchildren, Tanika, Kiana, Kaelob, and Alissa; three great grandchildren, Chance, Mae and Austin; his mother, Rita Davis of Massena; his companion of 15 years, Rosemary Pacific; two step children, Eleanor and Alex Pacific; two step grandchildren, Kristin and Juliana; two brothers, Clark and Gail LaShomb of Hudson, NH; and Glenn and Rosa LaShomb of Winthrop. He was predeceased by his father Wallace, and his brother Douglas LaShomb
