He married Maggie (Wood) Adamson, and they had children Robert Menzies Adamson, Isabella Adamson, and Archibald Law Adamson. He was the parent of Robert Menzies Adamson, and Isabella Adamson. Robert Adamson died at age 33 years old on October 10, 1917 in Belgium, and was buried at Tyne Cot Memorial to the Missing, Panel 10. in Zonnebeke, Arrondissement Ieper County, West Flanders.
