Ruth (Kaitz) Sokolic was born on December 20, 1918 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania United States to Ida Freed Kaitz and Michael Kaitz, and had siblings George Kaitz, Lillian K. Stein, and Sarah Kaitz. She married Albert Sokolic, and they were married until Albert's death on November 3, 1966. She had children Geri (Sokolic) Lifshey Ratner and William Sokolic.
