Sam R. E. Hess

Samuel Russell Edwin Hess was born on August 8, 1918 in South Houston, Harris, Texas, USA to parents Samuel Augustus Hess (1888-1932) and Leah Hanna Newton (1881-1930). He grew up in El Paso, Texas, USA and later resided in Carthage, New Mexico and Yuma, Arizona, USA. Samuel was a Cowboy, PreCooler, and Truck broker. On March 28, 1953 he married Mary Frances Gray Hess (1924–1980) and they started a family together.
