"Samuel A O Jones" was born sometime around 1870,either in Florida,(he had ties to Lake City,Columbia,Florida-he married his 2nd wife there in 1901.) or in Alabama,Georgia,Mississippi,or Louisiana He had a wife and at least one child when he left them for his second wife,Josie P Baucom, whom he married and had 5 children with.He was a gifted locksmith and gunsmith. Also was a jeweler. He had an older brother who went by the names J C and Joseph Jones, born abt. 1860. Our family is seeking information on Sams kin. Per dna,we know we are kin to the following surnames, thru our Jones line,Laird/Leard.Rutledge, Cole,Coleman,Albritton,Paul, and Ross.(Ross is a big clue-The Francis J Ross Plantation in Hamilton,Florida has family ties to he and his brother. Also- William Billy Ross, who went by the name Billy Roux, had photos of Sams children(with his 2nd wife Josie),and also a mystery photo of a man only known as "Wild Bill",(we assume he was the Jones that fathered Sam). (That photo was gifted to my cousin,Wlm Jones,by Billy Rouxs daughter Honorine.)Any info appreciated greatly, this has been a mystery of too many years. My Dna tested on Ancestry,23andMe,also placed on gedmatch(A806670),and on MyHeritage.com.My Email is [contact link].
