The prayer on back side of card.

PRAYER
Almighty and most merciful Father, we humbly beseech Thee, of Thy great goodness, to restrain these immoderate rains with which we have had to contend. Grant us fair weather for Battle. Graciously hearken to us as soldiers who call upon Thy power, we may advance from victory, and crush the oppression and wickedness of our enemies and establish Thy justice among men and nations. Amen.

Date & Place: 1944 at Edward (Ned) Ormsby in Kokomo, Howard Co., Indiana United States

Hi, I am interested in finding info the Ormsby clan, especially on my Great Granddad George Edward Ormsby who was born in Lafayette IN USA about 1851 & who married Bridget (Smith)Ormsby. George E. Ormsby's parents were Thomas & Winifred (Winney Hughes) Ormsby, who were possibly from Co. Mayo, West Meath or West Mead/Maid Ireland. I am in the process of researching this data now & would be interested in hearing from other Ormsby's, distant relatives, friends or anyone else who may have information to contribute &/or share on the Ormsby family history. I have also attempted to transcribe the scanned Copy of my Great Aunt Loretta K. Ormsby's family history letter given to Cousin Bill (Norman W.) Ormsby. I tried to make the transcription as exact as I possible could form the copy of the hand written letter I had that was a little better than the scanned images.
