He was born February 7th, 1873, in Comber, UK. He was a British businessman and shipbuilder best known for designing Titanic along with her sister ships, Olympic and Britannic. He was managing director and head of the drafting department of the shipbuilding company Harland and Wolff in Belfast, Ireland.
