Thomas Lee Gentry

Thomas was born in Ft. Pierce, Fl., St. Lucie county, USA. He lived in Hollywod and Ft.Lauderdale, Fl for awhile then moved back to Fort Pierce, before he moved to Zolfo Springs, FL., hardee county, in 1986. He lived in Zolfo Springs Fl until his death. He was in a car accident and they took him to the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital in Avon Park , FL, from there, He was sent to Winterhaven by medivac because his injuries were too extensive which is where he passed. New Years Eve 1986 ,You had just gotten off work and called your mom and little sister before heading home, It was nearing midnight and you wished them Happy New Year, little did they know it was going to be the last time they spoke to you and that this New Year 1987 was going to be anything but happy. On your way home you were T-boned by a drunk driver doing in an excess of 150 miles an hour( this is what was told to your family judging by the force of impact and the skid marks on the road. The force was enough to pull the seat belt from where it was anchored to the floor and turn you completely around in your seat. When they found you you were facing the back of the vehicle your neck resting on the back of your seat and the passenger side of the car had been pushed all the way in to your side of the car. The officer that spoke to your family also said that charges were pending against you and that is what usually happened in cases like that where the person was not expected to make it. Your family found out the first officer on scene was a family member of the man who hit you, but still none of that can bring you back.) The News Paper Article read that a 22 year old man was critically injured in a two car crash (nothing was mentioned about the man that hit you being drunk) but it also stated a homicide investigator was called in. You have been in a coma and your family has been holding vigil by your bedside. Your mom , Two sisters and other friends and the Pastor sat with you read to you prayed with you and for you. On the night of April 9, 1987 you passed having never regained consciousness, and leaving a great void in so many lives.
