This is my husbands grand father. He was born in Texas we think, He did grow up there, around lubbock. He moved to Northern Arizona to do logging , he had been a blacksmith and lumberjack all his life. His son Thurman Merchant Jr. also did logging for over 40 years in Arizona, and is still living.
