Actor, Radio Narrator. Born in Sheldon, Missouri, he began his career as a radio broadcaster in the 1930s and is regarded as one of the golden voices of radio. He was noted for hosting and narrating both radio and television programs to include "Young Dr. Kildare", "Charlie Chan", "Frontier Days", "Action Sports" and "Science Fiction Theatre". As an actor, he appeared in the films "Keep 'Em Flying" (1941), "Lone Star Ranger" (1942), "Fighter Squadron" (1948), "Special Agent" (1949) and on stage shows. He died in Woodland Hills, California.
