USS Finland sailor
Photo found in an antique store in Everett, Washington. Original photo taken in New York. I can't identify the sailor, but he served on the USS Finland (ID-4543). The ship was built in 1902 for the line "Red Star", but was chartered by the US Army as USAT Finland during the beginning of WWI in 1917. Teh ship was transferred to the US Navy in 1918 and carried 13,000 troops to Europe. The USS Finland was decommissioned Sept. 1919.
