Robert Nelson White was born on April 3, 1873 in Kentucky United States to Nelson T. White and Nancy (Sparks) White, and had siblings Thomas Jefferson White, James Franklin White, Francis Marion White, Joel D. White, and Amanda Susan “Sue” (White) Green. Mrs. America White, 88, 9f Lyra, Ohio, died at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at Lawrence County General Hospital. She was born in Elliott County, Ky. Her husband, Robert N. White, died in 1950. Surviving are her son, Homer White of Pedro; two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Goodman of Ft. Pearce, Fl., and Mrs. Brenda Magnus of Youngstown, six grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are to be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gill Funeral Home under direction of Rev. Harry Wilson. Burial is to be in Vernon Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Friday.
