Walter Douglas Dye Obituary
ANDERSON - Walter Douglas Dye, 48, of 913 Shirley Store Rd. went to be with the Lord after a long illness on August 24, 2008 at his residence.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son the late Walter T. and Sarah Anders Dye. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a landscaper.

Surviving are: sister, Becky Boyles of Belton; nieces, Vanessa Epps and Felicia Vaughn both of Belton; his beloved canine companion Pudda.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Dye and Mr. and Mrs. John Anders.

Memorial Service will be conducted 2pm Tuesday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mitch Brooks and Rev. Dale Lynch officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service Tuesday from 1pm until 2pm at Cox Funeral Home.

Walter Douglas Dye was born on December 15, 1959 to parents Walter Thomas Dye and Sarah Pearl Anders. He had a sister, Becky Boyles. Walter was a lifelong resident of South Carolina residing in Anderson County. He married Turner Elaine Thompson on August 14, 1981. Following their wedding, they honeymooned in Myrtle Beach. Walter was the owner of "Dye's Towel Outlet" and was also a landscaper. He had a beloved canine companion named Pudda. On August 24, 2008, Walter Dye passed away in Anderson, South Carolina, USA.
