Wesley Mason served in the U.S. Coast Guard 1942-1945

Wesley Mason was born on June 8, 1915 in De Valls Bluff, Prairie, Arkansas, USA to parents Stephen Harry Mason (1890-1931) and Mary Pearl Garrison (1892-1975). He had siblings Harry C. Mason Sr. (1911-2002), Frances Juanita Mason (1918-2012), Douglas Fairbanks Mason (1921-2007), and Marion Jean Mason (1928-2022). Wesley's nickname was Snooks when he was young, and the only person I ever heard call him that was my (Diane Gray) aunt Goldie Hurley (Parker) Mason, who was older than Wesley. He later enlisted and served in the U.S. Coast Guard from January 5, 1942 until October 11, 1945. Wesley married Florence Catherine Hartmann (1923-1989) on December 29, 1945 in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan and the couple had one daughter together.
