Sammie Mae (Nolan-Henderson) Hobbs of Dothan, Houston County, AL was born on March 6, 1912 to Samuel Nolan and Cora Irene (Thurman) Nolan. She had siblings Loft Nolan, Beulah (Nolan) Howell, Homer Lee Nolan, Kermit Nolan Lynn, Mamie Virginia (Nolan) Hellmeyer, Florence Nolan Clay (Elliot) Ryner, and Callie Mae (Nolan) Sanders. She married Willie E Hobbs, and had children Earl Hobbs, Winton Hobbs, Arthur Dale Hobbs, Willie Edward Hobbs, Billy Sam Hobbs, Betty Sue (Hobbs) Bigbee, and Earline Hobbs Burton. Sammie Hobbs died at age 84 years old on August 31, 1996.

He married Sammie Mae Nolan-Henderson Hobbs, and had children Earl Hobbs, Winton Hobbs, Arthur Dale Hobbs, Willie Edward Hobbs, Billy Sam Hobbs, Betty Sue (Hobbs) Bigbee, and Earline Hobbs Burton. Willie Hobbs died at age 75 years old on January 16, 1986 at 601 Collier St, in Dothan, and was buried on January 18, 1986 at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.
