The surname Baijal in India is found basically in the Suryavanshi clans of Northern India khatris originally tracing descent from the Lord Ram elder son Kush Dynasty. The surname is common among the Khukhrain clan and the Seth clan among the Khatris of North India. Considered historically to be the fierce fighters to the extent of shunning food and even water for their avid vow to make the enemy surrender hence some Khukhrain and Seth khatris bear the Surname as Baijal meaning without food and water even until the vow to make the enemy surrender isn't achieved~As the famous saying goes "Raghukul reet sada chali aayee, praan jayee pr Vachan na jayee"
