Name Origin

The origin of the name is rather simple, once you know of it's origination. The name is actually, two names, Ben Azulay. Ben', being the common form, for 'son of'. And, azulay, the Spanish name for Blue. In the past there are two family factions of the spelling. One is BenZuly. The other, BanZuly. The original was BenZuly. However, one of the brother's wanting to distinguish his name as so many in the work environment, called him BEN', he choose to change the spelling to BAN, in order to distinguish a first name from a family name. However, the source for the names are all the same, Spain prior to the Spanish Inquisition. And, then Morocco. And, then Austria, via Livorno, Italy. And, then the United States. However, some remained in Morrocco and now exist with the Benzuly/Benazuly name in Spain, to this modern day.
