I met Shannon in Gage Middle School during my freshman year there. I can't say I am a close friend of hers but I was in quite few of her classes. She was a petite blond blue-eyed and pretty at the same time intimidating. Don't get me wrong she was a nice person but my confidence in talking with other girls wasn't so great. The guys would often fond over her. She was considered the popular type girl at school. She wasn't in any cheerleaders but she was pretty smart and usually hung around the jokes or the popular kids. I remember how she would often tease me during class. Usually brightens my day but I think she was just being flirtatious. But i had a little crush on her and she knew it just by body language alone. I don't know her life after graduation from Arlington. But when chance came that I looked her name up on Google recently, it shocked me that she died so young that it deeply sadden me. Ironically I didn't know her personally only that I went to school with her graduated at the same time but nevertheless I weep for her death. The crush that I have for her still remains to this day.
