The name of the former Bjørum farm that was located in Namsos, Norway. The farm was named after the hill it sat upon called “Bjørumsklompen”. I’m unsure which one changed it but, in 1892 Emma Kristen Mikaelsdatter Bjørum (1868-1950), immigrated to the U.S. I’m assuming she did but not sure so I’m gonna continue. In 1900 her younger brother Carl Meyer Bjørum immigrated to the U.S. as well. Now when one of them arrived to America they changed it to Bjorum. I was told it was Carl because Emma did get married to a Bangsund and could’ve changed her name by then, but I don’t know when she got married.

The Name has no meaning as it is the name of the former Bjørum farm that was located in Namsos, Norway. The farm was named after the hill it sat upon called “Bjørumsklompen”. The farm is longer there but records of people living there are available.
