Jack Marcel Bridie, Sr. was born in Des Monies, Poke County, Iowa, USA. He was not born in Louisiana, but the family did moved there when he was a child. His parents were Jesse Claude Bridie and Mary 'Louise' (Guidry) Bridie. He married three times.1st, Lildred Ruth Higginbotham, she preferred to be called Ruth. 2nd, Marjorie Louise (Hansen) Bridie, she preferred to be called Margie. And 3rd, Sarah Marie (Meyer) Bridie, she preferred to be called Sally. He joined the service in 1938, and served in WW 11. He received two purple hearts and continued to be in the service until he had a Cerebral Hemorrhage leaving him paralyzed left side of his brain and right side of his body. He had many struggles and hardships to over come, learned new skills and how to cope. He had two daughters by his first marriage, Maynora Louise Bridie and Grace Alice Bride. He had one son by his second marriage, Ralph Allan Bridie. Jack Marcel Bridie, Sr. was a lady's man. The young man that is named Jack Marcel Bridie, Jr. is the son of Margie (Hansen) Bridie and Marvin Lynn Klinger. Margie did marry Marvin later, and Jack married Sally who he had already been involved with. Jack Marcel Bridie, Jr. did not know that Jack wasn't his father for years. He is an amazing man, husband and father.
