The Burgess's traveled from Dorset to Australia. The jobs they had in England were in Stone Quarries and prison service. The Burgess/Attwooll family travelled to Australia around 1890 its believed to dig for gold. They travelled with their daughter Alice she was approx. 3 years old. There were a couple of infant deaths before they headed back to England approx 4 years later. They lived the rest of their lives on the south coast of England.
